Created by the artist Capon in 1956, this vintage advertising poster for the SNCF is dedicated to Contamines-Montjoie. This visual advertised the Alps in its original version. Here, it is Contamines-Montjoie on the slopes of Mont-Joly. The painting aspect of the poster is very appreciable, and is rather inspired by the works of illustrators of mountain landscapes that were present in the wooden chalets. The style of this old poster is therefore rather unique for a vintage poster: here, it is the landscape that we are trying to sell, not the material aspects of the city.
