Description of this Saint Gervais Les Bains Poster
Created by the artist Géo Dorival in 1913, this vintage advertising poster for Saint-Gervais was commissioned by the PLM railways. A major artist of the 20th century, he is famous for his refined and synthetic style. However, he is not really visible in this advertising visual, as the visual is landscape-style. This is explained by the fact that Dorival was a regular at Saint-Gervais in the summer. The first version of this poster was rejected by the locals, who felt it did not showcase the resort enough. This is why he proposed this second version, and the unique style of this vintage poster will make it an excellent decorative object for your interior.
