Description of this Menier Chocolate advertising sign
This metal advertising sign represents a famous 1892 advertisement for Menier Chocolate. The little girl depicted is none other than the daughter of Firmin Bouisset, the illustrator of this visual. The image is the result of long reflection and is considered a precursor to the future of advertising: simple but evocative lines, a single character, a staging coupled with a strong message, while remaining brief. This work was such a spectacular success that it would symbolize the firm for nearly half a century. Ideal for your decoration, this vintage chocolate metal plate is a real piece of history!
