Description of this Ace of Aces Poster
In 1916, in the midst of the First World War, a German and a Frenchman, Gunther von Beckman (Hoffman) and Jo Cavalier (Belmondo), manage to drag each other into the sky. An argument, followed by a fistfight, over who will be the other’s prisoner is interrupted by an artillery barrage on their position, forcing them to stick together to survive. In a humorous side scene, Corporal Adolf Hitler (Meisner) is reprimanded by his frustrated First Lieutenant Rosenblum for his clumsiness.
